Backend Engineer - Ruby on Rails 🇪🇺

Pennylane is one of the fastest growing Fintechs in France (and soon to be in Europe!). We help entrepreneurs rid themselves of time-consuming tasks related to accounting and finance while providing them with access to key financial information. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a 250+ people Tech organisation, working in a squad focused on a part of the product. You will take part in the discovery phase with Product Manager and Designer, design, build, test, and release features to production, and support customers by monitoring and fixing issues in production.

Responsibilities

Take part in the discovery phase of projects with the Product Manager and Designer to define the feature to build; Participate with other engineers to design the software architecture, build it, test it, and release it to production; Support customers using the features built by monitoring and fixing issues in production; Contribute to meaningful new features or improvements in your team's scope; Improve tools and processes to help achieve better quality and/or velocity; Look into quantitative and qualitative product feedback to sharpen the team's roadmap

Requirements

Have at least 4 years of experience with Ruby on Rails; Have a balanced blend of technical, business, and product skills; Show empathy for your users and want to solve real issues for them; Have strong communication skills and are capable of articulating your ideas clearly; Are fluent in English (French is not mandatory); Are a team player and have experience working in an agile environment
