Band 6 Locum Acute Medical Physiotherapist – Liverpool

Hunter AHP is seeking an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Therapies team within an acute setting at Aintree Hospital. This is an ongoing role focused on supporting DMOPS and Medicine wards, playing a key part in patient assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

Undertake timely and comprehensive physiotherapy assessments across DMOPS and Medicine wards; Determine patient discharge readiness and required physiotherapy interventions; Carry out parallel planning to support efficient patient flow; Develop, implement, and monitor individualised exercise and rehabilitation programmes; Work collaboratively with hospital teams, community services, and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT); Support timely patient flow and safe discharge processes

Requirements

HCPC registered Physiotherapist; Previous Band 6 experience within an acute NHS setting; Strong experience working on medical wards / DMOPS; Excellent communication and MDT working skills; Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
