Behaviour Mentor – SEMH School in West Drayton

We’re recruiting Behaviour Mentors to join a specialist SEMH school in West Drayton. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require consistency, encouragement and positive role models to help them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs; Build positive relationships that promote trust, confidence and engagement; Support pupils with behaviour management and emotional regulation; Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to implement behaviour support strategies; Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

Experience working with children or young people; Calm, resilient and confident supporting pupils with behaviours that may challenge; Strong communication and relationship-building skills; Passionate about helping young people succeed; Right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa; Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks; Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) Update Service, or be willing to obtain one

Nice to have

Experience within education, SEMH, SEND, care or youth work
