BMS Application Engineer – Battery Systems

Join the Product Development Team as a BMS Application Engineer focused on delivering high-voltage battery systems for electric vehicles. Responsibilities

Supporting the design and development of the electrical architecture of high-voltage battery systems, including BMS, CMU; Assisting in translating customer and system-level requirements into feasible design and software solutions; Collaborating with cross-functional teams (BMS HW, BMS SW, FuSa, Systems, Testing) to ensure complete system integration; Participating in RFQ/RFI processes by preparing technical input and documentation; Supporting BMS hardware integration and communication interfaces (CAN/LIN); Contributing to system validation, including electrical testing and troubleshooting; Supporting DFMEA, DVP&R planning, and functional safety efforts aligned with ISO 26262; Onsite OEM support for flashing, initial integration, troubleshooting; Collaborating with global teams, including some travel to suppliers or OEM sites

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical or a related field; 3–5 years of relevant experience in the battery or EV industry; Exposure to high-voltage battery systems (400–1000V) including electronic/sw design; Understanding of BMS, CAN communication, and automotive diagnostic protocols; Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and automotive product development cycles; Understanding of safety standards such as ISO 26262; Proactive and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills in English; Willingness to travel up to 15%, including visits to suppliers and OEMs, both domestic and international
