Business Operations Manager/Sr Manager

Whatnot is the largest live shopping platform in North America and Europe to buy, sell, and discover the things you love. The Business Operations Manager / Senior Manager plays a significant role in building the functions to unlock growth and help the Company scale. Working directly with Whatnot's leadership team, this role will work cross-functionally to lead large, critical initiatives and solve complicated, unstructured problems.

Responsibilities

Take Whatnot global: partner with Product and Engineering to ensure international needs are built into scalable, global solutions, conduct primary research to identify high-impact opportunities, own key metrics; Scale our marketing engine: bring business-side rigor to how capital is deployed, measured, and prioritized; Build a great business: partner with StratFin and Data to build a healthy, durable business, lead analyses on margin levers and growth investments, inform pricing decisions; Help Whatnot run better: build tooling as a single source of truth for tracking progress against goals; Deliver for our users: pressure-test new products and capabilities, partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to improve buyer and seller experience, own resolution of high-impact issues

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or related field; 5-6+ years experience in consulting, investment banking/private equity, or a fast-growing startup; Able to move remarkably fast with little structure, guidance; Curious to learn about different parts of the business; Ability to operate independently and go deep on ambiguous projects; Demonstrated ability to work and influence cross-functionally; Fluency in using AI tools to enhance problem-solving, analysis, and execution; Low ego; growth mindset; leaning into action and high impact

Nice to have

Experience working on a marketplace or a two-sided platform; Experience or passion for buying and selling in online marketplace communities; Proficiency with SQL & dashboards
