Care Assistant

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. You will have full training and clinical support to develop and enhance skills in various complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care plus so much more! This rewarding, person-centred role involves supporting a young adult with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, which is a severe form of Epilepsy. He lives with his parents and siblings, enjoys music and sensory and spending time outdoor and with family. This role will require assistance with PEG feeding, a Vagus Nerve simulator to help with seizure management, washing, dressing, bowel management, medication administration and manual handling with assistance from his family.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance skills in complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care; Support a young adult with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome; Assist with PEG feeding; Assist with a Vagus Nerve simulator to help with seizure management; Assist with washing, dressing, bowel management, medication administration and manual handling with assistance from his family

Requirements

Full valid UK licence; Full manual licence and access to your own vehicle
