Care Assistant

We’re looking for compassionate, reliable people to join our supportive Basildon branch team as Care Professionals. Unlike hospital or residential care, community homecare is all about enabling vulnerable adults to remain safely and happily in the place they love most—their own homes. You will build relationships, provide vital companionship, and help people maintain their dignity and independence.

Responsibilities

Providing personal care with dignity and respect – bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming; Assisting with medication – preparation and administration; Helping with mobility – and using aids/equipment safely; Preparing meals/snacks – and offering mealtime support; Carrying out light domestic duties – laundry, making beds, light cleaning; Offering companionship and reassurance – building meaningful relationships; Encouraging social engagement and family connections; Monitoring health and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals and family; Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided; Responding to emergencies safely and effectively; Working collaboratively with families and the wider care team

Requirements

Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle; Compassion; Ability to communicate effectively; Problem-solving skills; Commitment to respectful, high-quality care; Right to work within the UK

Nice to have

At least 6 months of social care experience
