Care Assistant

This rewarding, person-centred role involves supporting a young adult with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, which is a severe form of Epilepsy. He lives with his parents and siblings, enjoys music and sensory and spending time outdoor and with family. This role will require assistance with PEG feeding, a Vagus Nerve simulator to help with seizure management, washing, dressing, bowel management, medication administration and manual handling with assistance from his family. You will have full training and clinical support to develop and enhance skills in various complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care.

Responsibilities

Supporting a young adult with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome; Assistance with PEG feeding; Assistance with Vagus Nerve simulator to help with seizure management; Assistance with washing, dressing, bowel management; Medication administration; Manual handling with assistance from his family

Requirements

Full valid UK licence; Full manual licence and access to your own vehicle
