Care Assistant

We are seeking a caring and dedicated Complex Care Assistant to support our 20-year-old client as part of a 2:1 care package in her family home. Our client is a young woman living with drug-resistant epilepsy due to cortical dysplasia, experiencing multiple types of seizures. Your role will be varied and rewarding, involving personal care, PEG feeding and medication administration, seizure monitoring and management, moving and handling, suctioning (as required), and engaging in sensory play, arts and crafts, story time, and outings. We’re looking for someone who brings energy, empathy, and enthusiasm to every shift.

Responsibilities

Support a 20-year-old client with drug-resistant epilepsy as part of a 2:1 care package in her family home; personal care; PEG feeding and medication administration; seizure monitoring and management; moving and handling; suctioning (as required); engaging in sensory play, arts and crafts, story time, and outings

Requirements

non-smoker; comfortable working in a home with a pet dog; available for both weekday and weekend day shifts
