Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Cashier to join our team and provide excellent customer service while efficiently handling sales transactions. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for ensuring a smooth and positive shopping experience. Your role involves processing payments accurately and promptly, handling cash, credit, and other forms of payment with integrity and attention to detail. You will maintain a clean and organized checkout area, assist customers with their inquiries, and work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficient store operations.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous service.; Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions using the point-of-sale system.; Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout area at all times.; Handle customer inquiries and resolve any billing or payment issues promptly.; Balance cash registers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy.; Assist with stocking, pricing, and organizing merchandise as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.; Proven experience as a cashier or in a customer service role.; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.; Basic math skills and attention to detail for handling transactions.; Ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
