Catalogue and Product Specialist

Reporting to the Catalogue and Product Manager, as the Catalogue & Product Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate, complete and reliable product catalogue information. You will research automotive parts, manage catalogue data and cross-referencing, and support product-range opportunities across the business. This role requires strong attention to detail, parts interpretation skills and the ability to manage high-volume data in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Responsibilities

Champion APG Values - Customer First, Smart Service, One Team and Safe for All; Research, create and maintain accurate product and catalogue listings; Perform data entry and manage parent/child listings, cross-references and supersessions; Review, audit and maintain catalogue data to support accurate internal and external product information; Research manufacturer and industry information to identify range gaps and new product opportunities; Support sales and purchasing teams with parts interpretation, product enquiries and catalogue information; Assist with product training and ensure product information is communicated consistently across the business; Identify opportunities to improve catalogue processes, data quality and reporting

Requirements

Experience in automotive parts interpretation, cataloguing, product data or a similar role; Strong data-entry skills, accuracy and attention to detail; Experience using Electronic Parts Catalogues (EPCs), catalogue systems or similar databases; Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel; Ability to research, interpret and cross-reference automotive parts information; Strong organisational, communication and time-management skills
