Caterlink - Assistant Chef

We are looking for an Assistant Chef at Hylands school in Chelmsford who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. We are looking for an organised, hard-working and passionate individual to ensure that the food quality, presentation and service are provided to the required standard. You should be passionate about delivering an efficient service to our students whilst ensuring we maintain great customer service and high food safety standards. The role: £14.50 per hour; 35 hours per week working Monday – Friday 7.30am - 2.30pm; Term-time only.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning, preparing and cooking of meals to the required standard; Ensure the company's reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with clients and customers; Brief kitchen teams on menus and service; Ensure all food safety and health and safety procedures are applied continuously; Carry out company bookwork; Ensure food quality, presentation and service are provided to the required standard
