Responsibilities

Cleans, packages, sterilizes, and stores the supplies, instruments, and equipment; Supports the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Facility; Adheres to safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities; Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and co workers; Maintains and promotes professional competence through continuing education and other learning experiences; Adheres to sterilization process policies and procedures; Correctly operates sterilizers, ultrasonic washers, and other equipment for processing items; Maintains inventory levels and accurate records; Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Certification Required: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician); High School Diploma; 0-2 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; Demonstrated understanding of sterilization principles required; Requires English language skills for interpersonal and telephone communication; Requires high-level visual and auditory acuity for timely response and patient care activities; Ability to move quickly in response to physician and patient needs, occasional overhead and low reaching, bending, and ability to exert force up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently and/or 10 lbs. constantly; This position requires approximately 0% to 10% travel

Nice to have

Associate's Degree desirable; Experience in central processing functions preferred
