Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service at all times, across all sections of the Chocolate Shop and over the phone; Greet all customers and provide a memorable experience; Educate and inform customers on Lindt chocolate products; Actively sample and introduce products through discussion of taste profiles and ingredients; Upsell to increase customer transaction spend and achieve daily sales budgets; Inform customers of current in-store promotions and events; Serve more than one customer at a time; Process customer orders through the POS and credit card transactions; Own and manage individual tills, including counting floats and end of shift till procedure; Prepare large customer orders; Address complaints immediately by informing the Manager on duty; Build rapport with regular customers; Restock and clean throughout the day; Comply with product management, handling, food, hygiene and safety standards; Perform open and close procedures, cleaning duties and temperature readings with checklist sign-off; Accept courier deliveries and confirm items against invoice; Assist in monthly stock counts; Unpack, move and restock products; Monitor sales daily to maximize store profitability; Order merchandise and supplies in a timely manner; Complete daily paperwork, accounting and store administration; Comply with work health and safety requirements and report damaged or dangerous equipment

Requirements

Customer Service; Sales skills; Ability to handle credit card transactions; Previous experience in customer service; Previous experience in a similar retail environment; Grade 12; Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Powerpoint); Excellent communication skills; Good time management skills (multi-tasking and prioritizing); Self-starter with the ability to work individually and in a team; Immaculate grooming with excellent personal hygiene
