Clinical Laboratory Technologist - FT - Flex - $20K Sign on Bonus - MHP

The entry level Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing, evaluating, and reporting of technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Follows established procedures to ensure laboratory quality control and compliance with professional standards of practice.

Responsibilities

Performing, evaluating, and reporting of technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease; Following established procedures to ensure laboratory quality control and compliance with professional standards of practice; Planning work and completing job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner; Assessing competency of team members; Performing accurate and appropriate testing of specimens received in the laboratory according to established laboratory protocol and procedures; Serving as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff; Effectively managing resources such as productivity, supplies, instruments and equipment; Serving as Charge Technologist; Instructing and observing student technologists; Reporting test results in a timely manner according to established laboratory protocols; Following established procedures for laboratory quality control, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures

Requirements

Bachelors (Required); Clinical Lab Technologist License (TN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL); No prior work experience required; Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation; Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers; Basic knowledge of laboratory information systems; Critical thinking skills; Effective communication skills; Decisive judgment; Ability to work with minimal supervision; Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

Nice to have

Generalist experience preferred; Blood bank experience a plus
