CNC Machinist

Maxcess is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our Oklahoma City team.

Responsibilities

Efficiently set up and operate machines for production runs of products; Ensure the proper tooling and computer programs are installed for jobs; Adjust machine feed & speed, change tooling, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction; Monitor machine during production run and adjust programs as necessary; Calculate machine speed and feed ratio and the size and position of cuts; Use precision measuring instruments and hand tools to verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications; Prioritize work according to production schedule; Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area; Wear proper PPE while in the shop's work areas; Manage waste responsibly; Promote energy conservation; Other duties as assigned to meet departmental and Company objectives.

Requirements

CNC experience required; Use of shop mathematics together with engineering drawings, specifications, and various types of precision measuring instruments; Use of judgement to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes within the limitations of established or standard methods and procedures; Constant alertness and continuous mental and visual attention required to monitor machining process; Ability to communicate and work well with others; High School diploma or equivalent; Minimum of one to three years of specific mill experience required; Ability to lift 35 lbs. on occasion; Ability to stand for extended periods.
