Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize mainframe applications in a production environment; Design and execute relational database queries and manage data access from COBOL programs; Define and execute batch jobs within the mainframe environment; Ensure COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL solutions meet production-grade quality standards

Requirements

+6 years of experience as a Cobol Developer; Proficiency in COBOL is required to develop, maintain, and optimize mainframe applications in a production environment; Working knowledge of DB2 is necessary to design and execute relational database queries and manage data access from COBOL programs; Ability to write and manage JCL is required to define and execute batch jobs within the mainframe environment; Strong attention to detail and accountability in ensuring that COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL solutions meet production-grade quality standards; Fluency in English (B2); Availability for a hybrid work model, 2 times a week in the Lisbon or Porto office (requires Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit)
