Responsibilities

Completing maintenance and repairs on small to medium commercial projects, with project lengths ranging from two hours to two days; Making recommendations and managing expectations with customers about scope of work and costs; Creating life-long customers by delivering a great experience and following the Mr. Handyman Way

Requirements

Live within the area; Have 8+ years’ experience as a paid handyman; Own your own tools; Be insurable for driving our vehicle; Complete a background and driving record check; Able to lift 50 pounds independently; Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time; Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle; Strong proficiency in at least three of the following: carpentry work, bathroom improvements, kitchen improvements, painting both inside and out, drywall work (minor and major repairs), general plumbing and electrical where allowed by law, exterior and interior door installation, window installation, familiar with building codes; Commitment to fulfilling the Mr. Handyman Way; Workmanship that reflects excellence and integrity; Positive attitude that reflects someone who finds answers to problems and gets the job done; Respect for all people, both in the office and in the field; Enthusiasm and energy in your work; Self-manage when working alone; Speak with customers and provide excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments; Have necessary tools including ability to use technology; Document the job while following the Mr. Handyman Way
