Commercial Finance Manager

The Role: This position sits within the finance function, acting as a key partner to Sales and cross-functional teams. The Manager will play a central role in evaluating business performance, guiding decision-making, and helping shape strategies that drive both top-line growth and profitability. The role is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, building structured analyses, and connecting financial insights to real business actions. You'll regularly engage with senior stakeholders and contribute to critical planning and investment decisions.

Responsibilities

Develop and refine reporting tools to track commercial performance and key financial metrics; Assess revenue drivers including pricing, trade investment, customer mix, and product performance; Monitor performance against forecasts and identify key variances, trends, and areas of opportunity; Collaborate with Sales and Analytics teams to evaluate promotional effectiveness and customer strategies; Provide financial perspective on pricing decisions, customer investments, and go-to-market initiatives; Support budgeting, forecasting, and longer-term financial planning efforts; Construct models to evaluate business scenarios and support strategic decision-making; Translate financial results into clear takeaways for leadership and cross-functional partners; Contribute to analyses supporting new product launches and customer expansion opportunities; Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and improve data integrity; Support the development of the broader finance function, including mentorship where applicable

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; Background in CPG, retail, or similarly fast-paced industries; 5+ years of experience in a finance or analytical role (FP&A, commercial finance, revenue management, etc.); Strong Excel and financial modeling skillset; Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights; Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders; Strong communication skills and business acumen; Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment

Exposure to pricing strategy, trade investment, or revenue optimization; Experience with financial systems, BI platforms, or data visualization tools; Prior experience supporting or mentoring junior team members; A proactive, solution-oriented approach with a high level of ownership
