Computer Field Technician

This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed, starting at $35 per call and increasing based on distance traveled. Pay period is every Friday after the first week worked. Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Call volume is variable but usually 2-5 calls per day.

Responsibilities

Perform hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units; Complete service calls at customer sites (residential and commercial); Confirm service times with customers in the tech portal; Code calls and map out daily route in the tech portal; Pick up parts daily from the assigned FedEx or UPS store before going onsite; Drop off old parts with the pre-paid label after completing calls

Requirements

Prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware; Prior hands-on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops; Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; Comfortable with daily local travel; Access to a computer and the Internet; Available to log into tech portal by 9 am each day worked; Regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays
