Conventional Route Driver

The Conventional Route Driver position requires a current valid CDL A, a satisfactory MVR (Motor Vehicle Record), an up-to-date medical card, and one years' driving experience or equivalent classroom qualification. Must have a neat, clean appearance and the ability to pass a DOT (Department of Transportation) exam. Schedule: 4-day work week; Sat/Sun off with 1 rotating day off. Sign-on bonus: $10,000.

Responsibilities

Responsible for safe operation of company vehicle while complying with all company, State and Federal regulations; Have a good, working knowledge of assigned delivery route and be familiar with product handling requirements; Represent the company in a courteous, ethical, and professional manner at all times; Keep a vehicle operation log and report necessary maintenance or other problems to Distribution supervisor daily; Complete all necessary reports as required by DOT and HP Hood LLC; Deliver all products ordered in a timely manner and advise Distribution supervisor of recommendations for improvements or problems needing attention daily; Keep accurate, daily records of accounts and collected cash; Work independently while supporting Distribution department; Work in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, and peers

Requirements

Current valid CDL-A license; Satisfactory MVR (Motor Vehicle Record); Up-to-date medical card; One year's driving experience or equivalent classroom qualification; Neat, clean appearance; Ability to pass DOT exam; High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Ability to work weekends and holidays; Follow all company safety policies and procedures; Demonstrate knowledge of safety areas reviewed in safety orientation; Execute assigned duties with minimal supervision; Perform assigned duties satisfactorily and in a timely manner; Maintain a clean and safe work environment; Perform all other related duties as assigned; Ability to work independently while supporting Distribution department; Good working knowledge of assigned delivery route and product handling requirements
