Cook II, Watr | $500 Sign-On Bonus

As Cook II, you will be responsible for preparing food according to recipe specifications and ensuring the overall success of our daily culinary operations. The Cook II should ensure that all ingredients used in dishes are of the highest quality. Additionally, the Cook II should work well under pressure and maintain restaurant standards during busy periods.

Responsibilities

Preparing food according to recipe specifications and ensuring the overall success of daily culinary operations; Ensuring all ingredients used in dishes are of the highest quality; Working well under pressure and maintaining restaurant standards during busy periods; Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with other employees; Communicating daily with Sous Chef(s), Executive Sous Chef and/or Executive Chef about hotel status, special attention guests, kitchen status, morale, and ideas to improve guest experiences; Ensuring kitchen is washed and sanitized for the next shift; Performing daily line checks and monitoring portion sizing for consistency; Assisting in maintaining logs and checklists for State and Internal audits; Responsible for protein/plate counts for service and maintenance log; Checking walk-ins for proper storage and rotation; Plating using proper service ware; Following company safety and security policies and reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; Embodying the 1 Hotels Vision, Mission and Compass and upholding Brand Pillars

Requirements

Organized and proficient at multitasking; At least 2 years of related work experience; Reliable team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations; Able to lift at least 50 lbs; Proficient in verbal and written English communication; Able to stand for long periods of time; Food Handling certification (can be obtained during employment); Work well under pressure; Required to work varying schedules, including holidays
