CT Technologist 3rd shift 7on-7off

More time off starts here. Seeking a skilled CT Tech to join the Kenosha team. Third shift 7 on-7 off schedule with rotation Thursday through Wednesday (Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu hours 8:30p-6:30a; Fri/Sat/Sun hours 7p-7a). Full time, 38 hours per week. Willing to train the motivated right candidate. Holiday coverage follows the 7-on/7-off third-shift rotation. No call obligation.

Responsibilities

Proficiently operates CT equipment to perform basic to advanced diagnostic procedures, including scrub CT guided invasive procedures, angiography, cardiac, cyber-knife, venography, cerebral, PET/CT, and 3D reformatting; Obtains medical history from patients and compares requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy; Positions patients, selects proper scanning factors, adjusts factors to attain appropriate images, and provides radiation protection and safety per regulatory agencies; Prepares and administers contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist and assists in proper scanning techniques; Provides measurements and additional slices for interpretation as directed by the Radiologist; Post-processes images as directed and labels images with patient name, medical record unit (MRU) number, and scan location or position; Maintains records per regulatory agencies, enters patient and study information into the radiology information system, and documents billing codes; Identifies equipment performance issues, performs quality assurance tests and calibration procedures, reports malfunctioning equipment, and evaluates new products and equipment; Serves as a technical resource, role model and/or preceptor for students and staff; Facilitates clinical problem solving and collaborates with other departments to provide education on managing patients after procedures; Performs patient positioning and transporting duties requiring lifting, pushing and pulling; Provides age-appropriate care as described in departmental policies and procedures

Requirements

Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin; Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by ARRT; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), to be obtained within 6 months; Advanced training beyond High School including completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology; Typically requires 2 years of experience in a CT Technologist role; Advanced knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and radiation safety; Proficient in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility); Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills; Ability to work independently; Intermediate computer skills; Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF or others); Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance, push/pull with 30 lbs. of force, and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present; Must have clear speech, vision and hearing
