Custodial Supervisor

The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services department and ensuring work assignments are completed efficiently, safely, and within established timelines and budgets. Reporting to the Environmental Services Operations Manager, this role provides leadership and direction to frontline team members while ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day operations of Environmental Services team members; Assign and monitor daily work schedules; Ensure productivity, service quality, and safety standards are consistently met; Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and manpower planning; Support absence management, employee discipline, coaching, and performance management; Assist with training, onboarding, and development of Environmental Services staff; Collaborate with other departmental managers to determine operational needs for customer events; Manage beginning and end-of-shift reports; Oversee operational supply levels and inventory needs; Operate self-propelled material handling or mechanical lift equipment as required; Observe and analyze departmental operations to identify efficiency improvements; Support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible housekeeping or environmental services experience; equivalent experience considered; Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with standard office software; Must be a self-starter; Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization; Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational demands

Nice to have

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; Previous supervisory experience; Experience working in a unionized environment; Prior experience working in large hotels and/or convention center operations
