Custody Nurse or Paramedic

As a certified nurse or paramedic, you can pursue a career within the criminal justice system, aiding some of society's most vulnerable individuals. In collaboration with the Police, you'll serve in custody suites, delivering healthcare to detainees. The role requires the flexibility to work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area. Salary is £41,500 per year and the role is full time with fixed shift working in a team rota pattern of 4 shifts on and 4 days off.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Police, serve in custody suites, delivering healthcare to detainees; Ensure the safety of detainees with round-the-clock coverage in the custody suites, in line with a schedule agreed upon with the client; Work not only in the base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area; Work fixed shift pattern in a team rota of 4 shifts on and 4 days off

Requirements

Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant clinical setting (Accident & Emergency, General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Prison Healthcare, or Ambulance Service); Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality care, work under pressure, and manage diverse clinical situations effectively; Driving licence; RN, RGN or RMN with dual registration with 2 years post qualification - Band 5 minimum; Paramedic with 2 years post qualification; Must have RTW, Lived in UK British Passport or ILR for 3 years + no gaps out of country more than 3 months; Subject to Police Vetting; Flexibility to work across assigned region in Police Custody Suites and Force area
