Customer Experience Associate

The Customer Experience Associate is responsible for customer check out, customer assistance, cash handling, and department sanitation, in addition to other duties as assigned. This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly, in a polite and professional manner; Operates front end scanning equipment and cash register and performs all related check out procedures, including bagging merchandise and placing merchandise in customer's cart; Maintains accuracy during transactions, collects appropriate funds (cash, checks, electronic payment, coupons) and follows cash drawer accounting procedures; Follows store and legal guidelines regarding sale of tobacco and alcohol; Maintains knowledge of weekly ads, marketing promotions and store layout; Maintains general sanitation in the department and follows cleaning schedules; Cooperates with co-workers and supervisors and continuously improves job performance; Uses all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); May assist in other departments

Requirements

Education and/or experience completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); No prior experience required; Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without an accommodation
