Customer Experience Associate

The Customer Experience Associate is responsible for customer checkout, front end scanning and cash register operations, customer service, cash drawer accounting, department sanitation, and other duties as assigned. This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly, in a polite and professional manner; Operates front end scanning equipment and cash register, including bagging merchandise and placing merchandise in customer's cart; Maintains accuracy during transactions, ensuring correct charges and proper collection of cash, checks, electronic payments and coupons; Maintains security measures and cash drawer accounting procedures, avoiding overages and/or shortages; Follows store and legal guidelines regarding the sale of tobacco and alcohol; Maintains knowledge of weekly ads, marketing promotions and store layout to answer customer questions; Responsible for general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and department guidelines; Ensures smooth function of department and store by cooperating with co-workers and supervisors; Responsible for utilization of all company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); May be called upon to assist in other departments

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) completed or in progress; No prior experience required
