Data Scientist Intern

You will join the Data & AI team at Saint Laurent, working on advanced analytics, machine learning systems, and AI-driven products supporting business decision-making. As a Data Scientist Intern, you will contribute to the development of machine learning models and data-driven systems by leveraging internal and external datasets, including open data and web sources.

Responsibilities

Collect and structure internal and external datasets for modeling purposes; Develop data pipelines (APIs, web scraping, open data sources); Perform data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering for ML use cases; Build enriched datasets to improve model performance; Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and insights; Support hypothesis testing and data-driven experimentation; Build analytical datasets to support model training and evaluation; Contribute to data storytelling for business stakeholders; Participate in the design, training, and evaluation of machine learning models; Contribute to AI use cases such as prediction, classification, and recommendation systems; Explore and prototype LLM-based or agentic AI systems; Monitor model performance and iterate on improvements

Requirements

Master's student in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field; Strong Python and SQL skills; Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals; Experience with data manipulation libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, etc.); Interest in AI systems, LLMs, or applied machine learning; Curious, rigorous, and comfortable working with complex datasets
