Data Visualization Specialist

The Data Visualization Specialist is a member of the Analytics Capabilities and Practices team that will focus in building advanced analytical capabilities including data science, predictive modelling, dashboarding, and data stewardship. This team will be forward-looking in identifying analytics trends, emerging tools & practices to ensure we have the skills and capabilities we need, to support D&A Customer Operations now and in the future.

Responsibilities

Develop insightful and actionable visualizations from large and complex data sets; Consolidate multiple data sets into one visualization that tells a compelling story; Prepare and integrate various data sets from different systems into strategic storage locations for visualization purposes; Validate and ensure accuracy of data; Facilitate processes promoting consistent use of visualization standards across dashboards and other visualization output; Create robust and reusable data querying, transformation, and visualization methods; Organize, define, and run projects as needed; Manage stakeholder engagement at all levels to capture requirements and use cases, mitigate or resolve issues, and deliver in a timely manner; Participate in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings; Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding testing progress and results; Continuously update and improve report testing documentation and knowledge base; Provide feedback and suggestions for product improvement based on testing observations; Keep abreast of business needs and stay current with technology trends

Requirements

Reporting and Business Intelligence expert experience; Experience in building Dashboards; Power BI (mandatory): familiar with DAX functions and different types of visuals; Excel (mandatory); At least 2 years of Power BI visualization related experience; Strong analytical and good communication skills; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and perform well as part of a team; Familiarity with testing web applications, user interfaces, and cross-browser compatibility; Deep or at least intermediate understanding of data pipelining, data structures and data modelling

Nice to have

Certification in Power BI; SQL or any programming background; Reporting capability in Jira and Salesforce; Jira Service Management dashboards using connectors; Project/task management reports from Asana; Salesforce reports; Experience partnering with multiple resources on projects; Working knowledge of Sales, Order management and Legal strategy group tools and processes; Ability to handle a group in building a project
