Database Administrator II

Responsibilities

Proactively identify and resolve system availability and performance concerns; Ensure system security; Create and maintain encryption and replication strategies between various database environments; Works collaboratively within a team; Drives work to closure; Understands, follows, and contributes to the refinement of team processes

Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Experience with automation and configuration management tools; Experience with performance tuning utilizing indexes, disk and query optimizations, and other methods; Experience with database replication and failover mechanisms; Experience with encryption methodologies for databases; Experience with database clustering techniques; Hands on experience with Postgres database technologies; Seven or more years of direct experience working as a (Postgres) Database Administrator; Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or relevant experience
