Deli Sales Associate

Deli associate position at Weis Markets in Everett, PA, responsible for stocking and serving the deli department, preparing food, maintaining freshness and sanitation, and providing customer service, in addition to other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Keeps Deli service areas well stocked and appealing; Smiles and greets customers, answers questions and resolves concerns in a polite and professional manner; Ensures freshness and condition of merchandise in display cases, with proper prices and correct signs; Rotates product and handles spoiled or damaged products according to company procedures; Operates slicing equipment and prepares meats, cheeses, ready-to-eat foods and platters; Adheres to company recipes and safety policies when preparing food; May operate cash register and follow money handling policies; Follows tobacco and alcohol sales laws; Maintains general sanitation and cleaning schedules in the department; Assists with inventory control through time and temperature practices; May assist with baling cardboard and receiving deliveries (training provided); Cooperates with co-workers and superiors; Uses company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); May assist in other departments

Requirements

Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); No prior experience required
