Dental Assistant

Under general direction, assists and anticipates the needs of Dentists and other providers in the provision of patient care. Assists in the coordination and operation of the Clinic or Dental Operating Room setting. Performs advanced dental functions under New York State licensure.

Responsibilities

Assists and anticipates the needs of Dentists and other providers in the provision of patient care; Assists in the coordination and operation of the Clinic or Dental Operating Room setting; Performs advanced dental functions under New York State licensure; Provides chair side or operating room assistance to Dentists and other providers; Maintains sterile environment and aseptic technique; Takes intra-oral, extra-oral, panorex radiographs; Performs instrument sterilization; Other duties as assigned

Requirements

High School diploma or High School student in good academic standing; Valid work permit upon hire

Nice to have

1 year experience as a Dental Assistant or in an Operating Room environment; Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and computer experience
