Get Golfing CIO, one of the UK’s fastest-growing golf and hospitality operators, is looking for a Deputy Course Manager. The Deputy Course Manager position is an integral part of the club’s management structure and forms a very strong link between senior management and the greenkeeping team. The successful candidate should have a flexible approach, be self-motivated, a natural leader of people, able to teach, train and guide members of the team with empathy, humility and patience. Candidates must have good greenkeeping skills, agronomic knowledge and a reasonable understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH and other legislative matters.

Requirements

Flexible approach; Self-motivated; Natural leader of people; Able to teach, train and guide members of the team with empathy, humility and patience; Good greenkeeping skills; Agronomic knowledge; Reasonable understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH and other legislative matters; Educated to a minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent; PA1, 2 & 6a Spraying certificates; Experience with irrigation maintenance, repair and use; Knowledge of machinery maintenance; Excellent communication skills & IT literacy; Ability to lead and motivate staff, along with and in the absence of the Course Manager; Minimum of 3 years’ experience as senior/first assistant or deputy; Chainsaw certificate
