Digital - IT/IS Business Partner for Space Systems

Digital is transforming and evolving and needs talented people who can make a real difference on how it supports, enables and delivers a diverse range of technological solutions and services to customers within the Space Systems business unit. The role is for an IT/IS Business Partner in Spain focused on delivering IT/IS solutions for the Space Systems AIT (TSM) and Programs. The environment is dynamic, cutting edge and very close to satellite products. The role joins an international IT team located in all core countries and contributes IT/IS deliveries for high profile, strategic European Space programs. The role is key for delivering an efficient IT experience to colleagues designing, producing and testing satellites and is directly linked to customer commitments in Airbus DS for Space Systems.

Responsibilities

Work as the interface between Spanish Space Systems business users (including Executive Management) and the internal Digital organisation; Act as 'trusted advisor' for all topics related to Digital, maintain and improve relationships and ensure customer satisfaction through ensuring IT/IS deliveries; Lead IT projects and Non-Standard-Demands for the TS (Space Systems) perimeter OCOQOT via cross functional and cross-country teams spread throughout Europe; Contribute to the Spanish plateau for the IT/IS Carve-Out of the future Space JV; Develop a solid understanding of the customer's existing business and business processes, key drivers and measures of success, and the short- and long-term direction of the business and related IT technologies; Identify areas for improvement in business processes, providing possible IT solutions compliant with the IT strategy and advising on the life cycle of the information solutions; Translate business needs into IT requirements and steer Digital contributors (Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Governance, Applications); Contribute to the Digital OP creation; Provide close support to business day-to-day operational activities as Digital BP focal point (incident management, handling and facilitating escalations), including SQCDP attendance and TSMS committee as Digital representative

Requirements

Educated to a bachelor level (or equivalent) in Information Technology or a related discipline; Experience making things happen within a typical IT department, gathering, steering and aligning a wide range of internal Digital stakeholders (Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Data Transport, etc.) for an optimised OQOCOT delivery while managing customer expectations and requirements; An interest in IT technology, spacecrafts and working in an international team; A willingness and curiosity to learn and ramp up on new technology, solutions, products; Willingness for occasional business trips within Europe; Language Skills: Spanish and English at negotiation level
