Director, Learning and Development

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Learning & Development to partner in the design, delivery, and continuous evolution of enterprise leadership development programs and experiences. This role is pivotal in cultivating a culture of continuous development, enhancing leadership capabilities, and aligning talent strategies with business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong background in adult learning, learning and leadership development and facilitation.

Responsibilities

Translate business priorities and organizational capability needs into leadership development solutions; Partner closely with Learning & Development, Talent, HR, and business leaders to influence enterprise learning priorities; Partner with Talent Management to identify internal and external executive development opportunities; Design and scale innovative learning experiences, including microlearning, cohort-based programs, digital resources, and performance support tools; Partner with Talent Management and HR teams to support emerging skills and capability initiatives; Ensure programs are delivered efficiently, evaluated rigorously, and continuously improved; Leverage learning technologies, AI-enabled tools, and digital platforms; Drive initiatives that embed a growth mindset and a learning and development culture; Design and develop resources such as playbooks, job aids, and functional guides; Utilize instructional design models and learning technologies to create impactful learning experiences; Manage vendor relationships, including selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring; Support broader L&D and talent programs, being agile and flexible

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or Organization Development; minimum 10 to 12 years of professional HR experience with a focus in talent development & learning; 7 years in leadership experience; significant experience facilitating leadership development programs and coaching leaders; strong background in adult learning, learning and leadership development and facilitation; knowledge of effective facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills; knowledge of project management methodologies, business process improvement practices, and related tools; knowledge of Learning and Development methodologies and solutions including adult learning principles, coaching, 360-degree feedback, development planning, competency framework design, and leadership and professional development program design; knowledge of Learning Management Systems and learning technologies; knowledge of learning measurement, evaluation, and analytics tools; knowledge of organizational change management principles; demonstrated success in designing, facilitating, and scaling leadership development experiences; strategic thinker with strong business acumen; exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; proven ability to influence, build partnerships, and collaborate; strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills; data-driven decision-making capabilities; proficiency in instructional design methodologies and learning delivery modalities; ability to achieve results through influence, partnership, and collaboration in a highly matrixed environment; ability to build stakeholder alignment; ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics; ability to collect and analyze learning data; ability to solve complex business and talent challenges; ability to lead organizational and learning-related change initiatives; ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels

Nice to have

Financial services industry experience strongly preferred; Workday Learning experience highly desirable
