Director of Accounting

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Accounting to join our team. The Director of Accounting is a critical leadership position within the finance department, driving the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting operations. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, and providing strategic financial insights to drive our business forward.

Responsibilities

Oversee and guide daily accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end and year-end close processes; Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations; Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures; Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; Analyze financial data and provide insights to management; Oversee revenue recognition process and ensure compliance with ASC 606; Review customer contracts and assess revenue recognition treatment; Work closely with sales and legal teams; Oversee and manage annual financial audit and income tax preparation processes; Oversee audit schedules and support internal audits; Ensure compliance with SOX requirements; Cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team environment; Delegate tasks and monitor team performance; Mentor and develop team; Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes; Implement process improvements; Stay abreast of best practices in accounting and technology; Proactively seek opportunities to improve and scale financial systems

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a leadership role; Strong technical accounting knowledge and GAAP expertise; In-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606); Experience with NetSuite; Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
