Dispatcher

This role is in support of Cencora's global logistics and storage services marketed through our World Courier business. In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating a fleet of drivers to make collections and deliveries of time and temperature sensitive consignments across the Stuttgart region.

Responsibilities

Allocations of collections and deliveries to Stuttgart driving team - arranging the transport of time critical and temperature controlled pharmaceutical shipments; Route planning as efficiently as possible, as well as arranging ad-hoc changes as required; Communicating to drivers the relevant information appropriate to the consignment; Preparation of Specialist packaging and temperature controlled consignments which include the filling of Liquid nitrogen dry shippers; Refurbishment of packaging and general warehouse duties; Downloading and processing of temperature control data

Requirements

High level of concentration and attention to detail and the ability to understand and distribute varied information during critical and busy times; At least 3 years of driver dispatch/controlling/transport planning experience; Previous experience in freight or courier industry - ideally working with temperature controlled, time sensitive deliveries such as pharmaceuticals; Extensive knowledge of the country, with a good general knowledge of the Stuttgart road network; Adaptable and able to perform well under pressure; Well-developed prioritization skills; Strong verbal and written communication; Excellent problem solving skills; Must have the ability to interact with associates at all levels.
