Distribution Order Picker

The Order Selector/Picker is responsible for, picking, stacking, labeling and distributing products within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

Picking, stacking, labeling and distributing products within the warehouse; Transporting materials and items from picking area to other designated areas; Sorting and placing materials or items on pallets according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code; Following standard operating procedures and meeting productivity goals; Marking/labeling materials with identifying information; Utilizing technology (RF scanning and voice picking equipment) for directed order picking; Practicing and adhering to appropriate safety, food safety and hygiene guidelines; Keeping work area clean and removing trash; Storing supplies in designated areas; Keeping work area aisles/exits clear and free from obstructions; Following instructions for safe lifting/carrying of various sizes, shapes, and weights and identifying/reporting defective equipment; Reporting all job-related injuries/property damage to supervision; Supporting and participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives including 5S; Performing other duties as required

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent; equivalent combination of education and experience; ability to follow standard operation procedures and meet productivity goals; ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; ability to frequently sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear; ability to occasionally stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
