EDM Library & Design Solution Architect

This candidate will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and will develop design methodologies to exploit and expand use of Siemens EDA Xpedition products. The candidate will need strong communication skills consulting and presenting to customers to articulate how the Siemens EDA Xpedition tool suite will help them to maximize the performance of the leading-edge technologies in their designs. The candidate will need to point out gaps in the customers design flow and articulate what is possible to increase the customer's design capability while driving efficiencies in their development flow to meet their Time-To-Market (TTM) goals with high quality. The candidate must have experience in design and data management, ability to understand and accommodate customer IT architectures, databases, and strong programming and scripting skills associated with the intended focus.

Responsibilities

Be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and develop design methodologies to exploit and expand use of Siemens EDA Xpedition products; Consult and present to customers to articulate how the Siemens EDA Xpedition tool suite can maximize the performance of leading-edge technologies in their designs; Point out gaps in customers' design flow and articulate what is possible to increase their design capability and development efficiency to meet Time-To-Market goals; Liaise with the EBS product division in advanced development, customizations, development, and maintenance of CLS generated applications used in advanced processes at customer sites

Requirements

Strong knowledge in PCB HW Development Methodology; Strong knowledge in SW development; Strong knowledge in both EDM design & library methodology, tools, and design flow; Strong analytical, problem-solving, programming and troubleshooting skills; Experience with Siemens EDA Xpedition tools; Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, VBScript); Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java); Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; Self-motivated and have the ability to work effectively; BS degree with strong engineering background; Experience in design and data management; Ability to understand and accommodate customer IT architectures, databases; Strong communication skills for consulting and presenting to customers

Nice to have

MS degree preferred; Potential to grow into a technical leadership position, guiding new recruits
