Electrical Systems Engineer (480V Industrial Power)

This role supports installation, troubleshooting coordination, and ongoing maintenance of industrial electrical systems up to 480V in a manufacturing plant. The position focuses on understanding electrical drawings and overseeing contractor work, with occasional on-site verification and minor maintenance support after equipment handover.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams (up to 480V); Act as technical contact for electrical contractors and vendors; Support equipment installation, startup, and acceptance; Identify electrical issues and coordinate corrective actions; Maintain documentation and update redlines; Ensure work follows electrical safety standards and NEC basics; Assist with maintenance planning after project handover; Perform basic inspection, testing, or minor adjustments when needed; Support reliability improvements and root cause discussions; Coordinate work with production and EHS teams

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related field; Experience with industrial electrical systems in a plant or manufacturing environment; Ability to understand electrical schematics and power distribution diagrams; Basic troubleshooting logic and communication skills; Comfortable working on-site around equipment

Nice to have

Electrician or electrical technician background; Experience with MCCs, motors, or VFDs; Equipment installation or commissioning exposure; Electrical license; 24/7 manufacturing environment experience
