Electromechanical Technician / Technicien R&D électromécanique

Dioxycle is seeking a hands-on Electromechanical Technician to join our systems team. You'll be working directly on the systems that operate our electrolyzer stacks in a hands-on role assembling, maintaining and troubleshooting automated test benches.

Responsibilities

Maintain and trouble-shoot PLC-based control systems (Beckhoff) on our lab and field electrolyzer units; Wire, install, and troubleshoot sensors, actuators, electrical panels, valves and pumps; Troubleshooting and maintenance of test benches, including instrumentation and controls; Testing and validation of the sub-systems through the implementation of test protocols; Implementation and tuning of PID controllers; Writing of documentation; Benchmark suppliers and contact them; Maintain inventory and improve the inventory system

Requirements

Diploma (e.g. DUT) or degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field - or equivalent hands-on experience; 1+ years of experience (internships/apprenticeships and personal projects all count); Some exposure to PLC programming (Beckhoff, Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider - any is fine); Familiarity with electrical panel design and reading wiring diagrams; Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, and basic electronics troubleshooting; Comfortable using an oscilloscope and basic electronics measurement tools; Exemplary work ethic and self-driven attitude; Street-smart; Commitment to the mission and ambition and to creating a kind, high-performance and fun atmosphere at work; Passion for innovation and problem-solving attitude; Dedication to investing time and effort for the betterment of the team; Going the extra 20%; Humble, low-ego and curious
