Enterprise Architect

Responsibilities

Ensure that enterprise product strategy and architecture strategy match, reinforce each other, and drive business value, including shaping the enterprise's AI adoption strategy; Provide authoritative architectural and technical guidance to senior stakeholders and the broader Tech area, and define and enforce enterprise-wide engineering standards, best practices, and architectural guardrails; Lead the design of complex, multi-domain systems, participating in high-stakes architectural discussions and using prototypes and proofs-of-concept to validate enterprise-level solutions; Drive the department's overarching technical roadmap, evaluate the current tech portfolio, manage technical debt at an organizational level, and guide build vs. buy decisions; Act as a multiplier for technical talent, helping senior engineers and technical leads grow and fostering cross-team collaboration and architectural excellence

Requirements

Deep, progressive work experience moving from a senior software developer to a high-impact architectural role (Enterprise, Principal, or Chief Architect) in a dynamic, scaled environment; Expert understanding of modern enterprise technology landscapes and comfortable governing the Tech Stack: AWS, Docker, Microservices, Golang, Java, Python, React.js, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, Concourse, GitHub, Prometheus, including AI infrastructure; Profound, enterprise-scale experience with AWS services, including multi-account organizational structures, global network architectures, complex application layers, cloud governance and security tools; Comprehensive experience spanning Backend/APIs, Frontend/JS, System Design, and DevOps; Communicate flawlessly in written and verbal English; Deep understanding of agile and lean processes at enterprise scale; Clear-eyed, pragmatic view of AI capabilities; Strong ability to explain complex technical matters to non-technical executive audiences and dive deep with engineers; Collaborative, easy to work with, and contributes to a positive, blameless company culture
