Environmental Scientist

Wessler Engineering is looking for a motivated individual ready to build a long-term career as an Entry Level Environmental Scientist. In this role, you’ll work on environmental compliance projects, prepare reports and plans for municipalities and industries, and collaborate closely with engineers to assess environmental impacts and secure permits for construction projects. This position is based in our Fort Wayne or Indianapolis, Indiana offices.

Responsibilities

Work on environmental compliance projects; Prepare reports and plans for municipalities and industries; Collaborate with engineers to assess environmental impacts and secure permits for construction projects; Environmental permitting and pollution prevention planning; Technical report writing and field investigations; Environmental impact research; NPDES permitting; Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Plans; Wellhead Protection Planning; Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or a related field; Public speaking, technical writing, and computer skills; Ability to multi-task and prioritize; Ability to interpret and apply environmental regulations; Ability to research, synthesize, and communicate new information quickly; Strong client communication skills

Nice to have

0–2 years of related experience preferred
