Equipment Maintenance Technician 2

Equipment Maintenance Technician responsible for setting up, operating, optimizing, troubleshooting, and maintaining departmental production equipment. Ensures production standards, product quality, and minimal equipment downtime are consistently met.

Responsibilities

Set up and debug equipment per specifications and department procedures; Maintain equipment in working order - adjust, troubleshoot, clean, and repair as needed; Maintain detailed equipment logs recording downtime and maintenance issues (legible handwriting required); Repair equipment within capability; report major problems to supervisor and assist Engineering/Maintenance teams on major repairs; Perform preventative maintenance per plant PM program; Start up equipment, monitor component inventories, and ensure safety guards are functional; Check and clean part tracks to ensure smooth component flow; Maintain accurate production and downtime records; Monitor in-process quality, perform required QC checks, and run process challenges; Maintain a neat, orderly production environment; Observe all safety, environmental, and Quality System Requirements (QSR)

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment required; Assembly tools proficiency; Mechanical troubleshooting and mechanical drive systems knowledge; Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge; Motor/gearbox familiarity; Good problem-solving skills; Familiarity with personal computers and basic Windows environment; Eye exam required onsite; Steel toe or composite shoes required; Must be able to work overtime as requested by business needs
