Experience Ambassador

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for an Experience Ambassador at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. The Experience Ambassador is responsible for participating in the day-to-day functions of providing directions, building facilities information, and offer hospitality and tourist assistance. Serve as an usher and ticket taker for special events. Interact with clients, facility staff, in-house concessionaires, and related personnel.

Responsibilities

Ensure highest level of customer service; Serve as main point of contact for location during event and door opening process; Maintain professional demeanor and attire; Work in Guest Services Areas providing directions, building facilities information, and event information; Resolve front of house patron/ticket/building issues and contact appropriate personnel; Serve as usher, greeter, and/or ticket taker for special events; Use two-way radio for communication with management, security, and staff; Monitor front of house areas throughout the event; Communicate with part time team members effectively; Work varying schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays; Initiate contact with guests within 10 feet; Interact with guests in a friendly, courteous and polite manner; Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge of fast pace of large convention center; Minimum six months experience in customer service; Professional appearance; Passion for customer service; Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English; Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; Ability to listen, hear, and respond to guest inquiries; Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, symbols, and colors; Ability to work independently and maintain positive attitude within a very busy environment; Ability to interact with all types of people; Ability to get along with co-workers, customers, vendors, and visitors; Ability to respond politely to all individuals and work as team player; Mobility; Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and walking; Ability to go up and down stairs; Occasional bending and stooping; Frequent talking and hearing; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
