Facilities Engineer

We are recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business in Sutton Coldfield seeking a proactive Facilities Engineer to play a vital role in maintaining and improving site facilities, infrastructure, safety systems, and compliance standards. Responsibilities

Managing and maintaining site facilities, infrastructure, and building services; Coordinating external contractors and overseeing maintenance activities; Supporting health & safety initiatives, fire safety systems, and risk assessments; Ensuring compliance with all relevant site regulations and standards; Maintaining site security systems and asset protection measures; Driving facility upgrades and continuous improvement projects; Managing documentation, inspections, and compliance records to ensure audit readiness; Working closely with operational teams to identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency

Requirements

Driven and organised engineer who enjoys taking ownership and delivering results

Nice to have

Experience within Facilities Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Plant Engineering, or a similar role; Background working within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment; Knowledge of health & safety legislation, fire safety systems, and compliance requirements; Strong organisational and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with contractors and internal stakeholders; A proactive mindset and a passion for site improvement
