Field Operations Specialist (Tasmania)

We're looking for a motivated, hands-on Field Ops Specialist to join the team as one of the first hardware technicians on the ground in Australia. The hardware is the collars and towers that make Halter. You'll build an efficient operational system from the ground up, get out onto farms, and make sure the hardware infrastructure runs without a hitch. You'll work closely with dedicated teams in Australia and at Halter's Auckland HQ.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure maintenance: Oversee the upkeep and repair of on-farm infrastructure; Hardware diagnosis: Diagnose hardware issues and feed information back to the right team quickly; Deployment support: Get out onto farms to help deploy hardware, troubleshoot issues, and support installations; Field insights: Feed learnings back to product and engineering teams; On-call: Be part of the global on-call roster to support tower-related incidents; Data analysis: Collect, interpret, and analyse hardware data to optimise processes and spot issues early; Maintenance system: Help build and manage a maintenance system tailored to the Australian market; Collaboration: Work closely across Halter's teams to drive customer outcomes; Travel: Expect 3 to 4 days a week on the road and some nights away from home; Whatever else it takes to make Halter succeed in Australia

Requirements

Practical hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting (a must); Go-getter attitude; Strong communicator; Time management; Team player; Comfortable with ambiguity; Commitment to excellence; Willingness to travel
