Field Service Engineer

A well-established packaging machinery specialist is looking to add a Field Service Engineer to its growing engineering team. Covering a regional customer base, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and installing a range of packaging equipment across multiple industries. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with previous packaging machinery experience looking to join a business offering technical variety, training and strong earning potential through overtime.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on packaging machinery; Install, commission and optimise equipment at customer sites; Fault find on mechanical, electrical and automation systems; Provide customer training and technical support following installations; Work on pallet wrappers, strapping machines, carton sealing machines and carton erecting machinery; Cover a regional territory with occasional overnight stays when required

Requirements

Previous experience working on packaging machinery or similar automated equipment; Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering background; Field service or maintenance engineering experience; Ability to diagnose and resolve machinery faults independently; Willingness to travel and stay away when required; Full UK driving licence
