Financial Risk Analyst

We're partnering with a specialist life insurer looking to hire a Financial Risk Analyst to join its second-line risk function, working closely with senior risk and investment stakeholders across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an actuary or risk professional looking to build expertise across credit, capital and investment risk while gaining visibility across a wide range of strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities

Provide oversight and challenge across credit risk, ALM and investment activities; Support risk review of BPA transactions, reinsurance arrangements and strategic initiatives; Monitor financial risks and contribute to risk reporting for senior committees; Support ORSA production and wider Solvency UK activities; Participate in internal model validation and risk framework development; Work directly with senior stakeholders across risk, actuarial and investment teams

Requirements

Part-qualified actuary or actuarial professional; Background in life insurance, investments, pensions or financial risk; Good understanding of credit risk, ALM or investment risk; Knowledge of the UK regulatory environment; Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide constructive challenge; Curious, proactive and keen to broaden your risk expertise
