Forklift Operator

Job will include setting up, loading, unloading, or warehousing of product or supplies with a forklift. Swing Shift. PM Shift.

Responsibilities

Setting up, loading, unloading, or warehousing of product or supplies with a forklift; Operating a forklift in narrow aisles and safely taking materials to and retrieving materials from production equipment locations; May include operation of a pallet jack; Maintaining warehouse and transaction accuracy, production reporting, and inventories of product and supplies; Learning SAP and using SAP for data entry on forklift computer terminals, handhelds, and desktop computers; Keeping work areas neat, clean, and orderly; Assisting in collecting quality control samples and other clerical duties as assigned; Performing safety inspections of forklift before use and filling out the safety inspection form each shift; Qualifying as a forklift operator by passing a medical exam, written and practical exams; Repetitiously loading and unloading ingredients weighing up to 50 lbs; Demonstrating working knowledge of standard safety and operation procedures for lift trucks; May be assigned to work at alternate facility locations in North Logan or Logan or to work Saturday or Sunday; May be required to work other shifts as assigned; Maintaining a clean work environment at warehouse facilities and performing janitorial duties on occasion; Complying with all site and equipment safety and quality good manufacturing practices guidelines

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment; Ability to qualify as a forklift operator by passing a medical exam, written and practical exams; Repetitious loading and unloading of ingredients weighing up to 50 lbs; Working knowledge of standard safety and operation procedures for lift trucks; Compliance with all site and equipment safety and quality good manufacturing practices guidelines; Ability to learn SAP and use SAP for data entry on forklift computer terminals, handhelds, and desktop computers
